St John Brigade

St John Brigade

St John Brigade (SJB) seeks to develop disciplined and responsible cadets who are committed to serving the public and the wider school community.
Our programme is built on three key pillars:
1. First Aid Knowledge
2. Home Nursing Skills
3. Foot Drills
Through structured training, cadets develop essential life-saving and caregiving skills. First aid and home nursing training equip cadets with the confidence to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. These skills are reinforced through regular practice and application during public duty events in school and in the wider community. Cadets are attached to first aid posts where they apply their training in real world contexts.
Foot drill training also forms an integral part of the programme. These sessions build discipline, resilience, coordination and teamwork.
Our programme also enhances leadership skills and character development. Cadets are given progressive opportunities to take on responsibilities and grow in confidence over their four years in SJB Through training and leadership development, cadets learn to serve others competently and with integrity. This commitment is guided by our motto:
Pro Fide, Pro Utilitate Hominum
For the Faith, For the service of mankind

CCA Highlights
| Annual Camps Annual camps provide cadets with opportunities to demonstrate resilience and perseverance. Cadets deepen their first aid and home nursing knowledge and skills through structured activities during camp. Camps also include activities such as outdoor cooking and Amazing Races. These shared experiences allow cadets to bond with their squadmates and strengthen teamwork. A strong sense of camaraderie is developed in line with the motto: One for all, all for one! |

Some of our cadets have also been invited to be part of the St John Brigade contingent at the National Day Parade. |

| Public Duty Our cadets perform voluntary first aid duties during various school and community events.
