Green Club
Green Club
“I stand for what I stand on” is Green Club’s mission, striving to guide our members in becoming environmental advocates and change-makers in our society. Green Club is a safe space for like-minded individuals who are passionate about the environment to work together towards the common goal of promoting environmental awareness within and beyond the school community.
Through organising and carrying out school-wide activities and taking part in multitudinous competitions, our members have a plethora of opportunities to learn more about environmental issues and share their knowledge with others. Meeting up once a week, our CCA sessions are comprised of 4 main aspects: gardening, upcycling, outreach, and learning journeys. Our members are able to broaden their horizons amidst the CCA sessions while connecting with their fellow 姐妹们, fostering committed, educated, and conscious environmental champions who leave everlasting impacts on our society.

CCA Highlights
Education Drive on “Plastic Waste in Singapore” at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre We had an educational outreach at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre to educate the public about “Plastic Waste in Singapore”. This is held in concurrent with Tzu Chi Zero Market which takes place on alternate weekends of every month. During the outreach, students from Green Club shared with the public some of the statistics of the amount of plastic waste created in Singapore and how as an individual can do to help reduce this amount. In addition, we also held an upcycling workshop on turn a Used Beverage Carton (UBC) into a coin pouch to gather more interest into our education drive. |
